Tips for expediting your shipment

Reddaway drives away with multiple safety awards

On Thursday, April 4, 2013, The California Trucking Association (CTA) honored Reddaway with two of its prestigious Annual Fleet Safety Awards. The awards were given at the Annual Fleet Safety Banquet in Sacramento, CA to attending Reddaway officers.

This marks the third year in a row that Reddaway has won a Fleet Safety Award from the CTA.

This year, Reddaway was presented with the first place trophy in the LTL/General Commodities Local/Short Haul Over 4 Million Miles category, and the second place trophy in the LTL/General Commodities Line Haul Over 7 Million Miles Category. Reddaway was also honored with a trophy for last year's receipt of the Charlie Giles Award for Most Improved Fleet in 2011.

To win the awards, Reddaway went up against over fifty different companies and was evaluated along a number of objective measurements. An independent panel of judges was selected from government agencies to analyze contestants based on their choices in criteria such as: documented safety programs and procedures, training, driver supervision, preventive maintenance, and overall record of accident reduction.

“We are very proud and grateful to be receiving these awards,” said Dave Yonemoto, Reddaway Director of Safety. “These trophies represent the dedication Reddaway has to safety as well as the hard work of our committed team members. Staying safe is a full-time job. We are very thankful to all of the Reddaway personnel who have gone above and beyond to get the job done.”
