Reddaway Recognized by EPA for Commitment to Improving the Environment
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-administered SmartWay® Transport Partnership has recognized Reddaway for ranking in the top 20% performance range of all freight companies.
The SmartWay® program was created in 2004 to improve fuel efficiency and environmental performance of transportation organizations. It ranks carriers based on grams per mile and grams per ton-mile for carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide and particulate matter.
Earning this recognition confirms Reddaway’s success in its efforts to create a more environmentally-friendly operation and fleet.
"Safety and service to our customers are Reddaway's top priorities. We know it's possible to achieve high marks in those areas while also doing our part to improve the environment," said Reddaway President and CEO, T.J. O'Connor.
"Through our ongoing investment in cleaner-running power units, including a strong maintenance program to keep our equipment in top operating shape, and fuel-efficient driver practices, we have been able to reduce our emissions to lower levels. Reddaway Stockton Terminal Relocates
Reddaway Stockton terminal has relocated to more efficiently meet the needs of its customers.
The new Reddaway terminal is more spacious with over twice the yard space and 47% more dock space as well as a more modern office environment.
With 50 doors and a 100-foot wide dock, there is ample room for business operations and growth.
Additional benefits include a more customer- and employee-friendly location, cost savings to the organization and easy access to and from the I-5 corridor.
"Our new Stockton facility will provide us room to operate more efficiently and further improve services to our customers. This larger, more flexible and modern work environment will accommodate future growth and is ideal for our needs," said T.J. O'Connor, CEO and president of Reddaway.

By Way of the Highway: Michael Baldwin, Denver Linehaul Driver
Reddaway professional linehaul driver, Michael Baldwin, has spent a whopping 30 years behind the wheel of a big rig. We are proud to say 22 of those years have been spent with Reddaway.
Michael drives 530-miles round-trip to Fruita, CO and back five days a week from the Reddaway Denver, CO terminal through 2,650 miles of mountainous terrain and formidable weather.
But given Michael's safety record, you wouldn't know that. He's driven an incredible two million consecutive miles without a single preventable collision! Did you know, travelling two million miles is equivalent to making four round-trips to the moon or over 686 round-trips from New York City to San Francisco?!
"To reach two million safe miles you have to always pay attention to others," said Michael. "A little bit of luck comes in handy, too, but above all else it's about maintaining an attitude of safety."
